Legal aid solicitors
We assess all of our Family law clients for Legal Aid eligibility. If you’re not eligible, we’ll offer you a free 30 minute consultation. During that initial meeting we’ll discuss your individual needs and outline the options available for resolving your particular issue.
Our range of family services
We have a dedicated team of Legal Aid solicitors, many of whom are Resolution-accredited family lawyers and members of the Law Society Family and Children’s Legal Panels. We’ll work with you to find practical solutions to a whole range of family issues, including:
We also encourage the use of mediation and collaborative law wherever possible.
How it works – initial consultation
During your initial consultation we’ll check whether you’re eligible for Legal Aid. If you are, we’ll sign you up for the initial level of aid.
If legal aid isn’t available to you, you’ll be eligible for a free 30 minute interview where we discuss various options available for resolving your family difficulties. We’ll also outline the various Fixed Fee packages we have available.
If more detailed advice is required and you’d like to continue past the 30 minutes, let your solicitor know and you may be able to carry on into a more detailed consultation. This time will be chargeable, but your solicitor will tell you how much this is likely to be and what other costs are involved.

If none of these options are appropriate, we will discuss with you the hourly rate to be charged for all work.
