We assess all of our Family law clients for Legal Aid eligibility. If you’re not eligible, we’ll offer you a free 30 minute consultation. During that initial meeting we’ll discuss your individual needs and outline the options available for resolving your particular issue.

How it works – initial consultation
During your initial consultation we’ll check whether you’re eligible for Legal Aid. If you are, we’ll sign you up for the initial level of aid.
If legal aid isn’t available to you, you’ll be eligible for a free 30 minute interview where we discuss various options available for resolving your family difficulties. We’ll also outline the various Fixed Fee packages we have available.
If more detailed advice is required, we will see you for each additional 30 minutes at a cost of £50 plus VAT payable at that initial meeting.

If none of these options are appropriate, we will discuss with you the hourly rate to be charged for all work.

Understandably clients are often anxious about the potential costs involved with any legal service. To give our clients greater certainty and clarity about the costs of using our legal services, we have introduced a set of fixed fee packages which will enable you to budget your legal costs and give you a clear picture of all the costs involved from the outset.
Many law firms are currently offering types of “fixed fee packages”. However, these can be misleading. A divorce, residence and contact agreements, now known as Child Arrangement Orders/Agreements, which will take longer to resolve and which will inevitably cost more.
Our fees are open + transparent
Our aim is to ensure all our fees are open and transparent. Within our Fixed Fee information we clearly indicate what is and what isn’t including in the Fixed Fee once we have discussed your case with you in detail, we will be able to provide a clear guide as to the likely costs involved in your particular divorce.
If for any reason you do not wish to use the Fixed Fee packages then we will happily discuss with you our rates on an hourly basis.
