Tom Powles

Tom has practiced family law since he qualified in 2003. Since then, he has developed specialisms in multiple areas of family law, including Children + Childcare cases, where he represents children, parents and relatives, and also matters concerning domestic abuse. He regularly helps clients in separating their finances following the end of a relationship or marriage.

After joining us in 2011, Tom was appointed head of the Childcare + Domestic Abuse departments a year later.

Tom advises on surrogacy queries and assists LGBT clients on adoption, donor conception and separation.

Tom is a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme and is a Resolution accredited specialist.

He is also a qualified family mediator and a member of the Family Mediators Association.
