Georgina Bryant

Georgina heads up the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team. With over 20 years’ experience, she is well-placed to advise and assist businesses and their owners on all aspects of corporate and commercial law.

Georgina has considerable private practice and in-house experience, having spent 10 years in the corporate teams at Allen & Overy in London and King & Wood Mallesons in Sydney. She joined Barcan and Kirby from energy regulator Ofgem, where she was a principal legal adviser.

Georgina’s expertise lies in all aspects of the sale and purchase of companies and businesses, as well as other matters including buybacks, shareholders’ agreements, company formations, reorganisations and shareholder exits. Her commercial law experience includes advising on a range of commercial contracts, including standard terms and conditions, supply contracts, distribution and franchise agreements.

Her particular experience spans sectors including nurseries and early years providers, financial services and hospitality.

Georgina is recognised as being efficient, professional and supportive. She is passionate about providing practical, commercially-focused advice in a way that is accessible to clients. She is often asked to speak at seminars, talking on topics related to exiting a business.
