Georgina Bryant

Georgina heads up the firm’s Corporate + Commercial team. With over 20 years’ experience, she is well placed to advise and assist businesses and their owners on all aspects of corporate and commercial law.

Georgina has considerable private practice and in-house experience, having spent ten years in the corporate teams at Allen & Overy in London and King & Wood Mallesons in Sydney. She joined Barcan+Kirby from energy regulator Ofgem where she was a principal legal adviser. Her particular recent experience spans sectors including childcare, financial services and hospitality.

Georgina’s expertise lies in all aspects of the sale and purchase of companies and businesses, as well as other matters including buy backs, shareholder agreements, company formations, reorganisations and shareholder exits. Her commercial law experience includes advising on a range of commercial contracts, including standard terms and conditions, supply contracts, distribution and franchise agreements.

She is recognised as being efficient, professional and supportive. Georgina is passionate about providing practical, commercially-focused advice in a way that is accessible to clients. She is often asked to speak at seminars talking on topics related to exiting a business.
