Communication Policy
At Barcan+Kirby, we will communicate with you in a polite, courteous, respectful and professional manner at all times.
We will use plain English, and we will explain any legal phrases or terminology.
We will endeavour to respond to you as soon as we practically can. There may sometimes be a delay due to other urgent work, or for unforeseen reasons out of our control, for example, staff
sickness or a family emergency. However, we will do our best to always keep you updated and informed.
While we appreciate that your matter may be stressful and challenging, the safety and welfare of our staff is extremely important to us. We therefore expect you to communicate with us as we shall with you, in a polite, courteous, respectful and professional manner. This will enable us to establish a healthy and productive working relationship.
We understand that there will inevitably be times when someone may communicate in a manner they do not intend to, especially when going through a difficult and stressful time in their lives.
However, if any of your communications are considered inappropriate, for example, if it is offensive, abusive, aggressive or threatening, and make our staff feel unsafe or intimidated, we may need to stop acting for you.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy in relation to harassment, including sexual harassment, and if inappropriate behaviour of this nature is reported and well-founded, then we reserve the right to take appropriate action
