Summer vacation programme
If you are in your penultimate or final year of a law degree, studying for your Graduate Diploma in Law or the Legal Practice Course and are looking for an opportunity to gain hands on legal experience, our summer vacation programme is the perfect programme for you.
Structured vacation programme
We have created a bespoke two week programme to allow you to spend time in each of our departments across a number of our offices located around Bristol. You will gain experience in all areas of law we cover, giving you real insight into what it is really like to work for a mid-sized legal practice.
On your first day you will have a group induction which will provide you with an overview of the firm structure, information on the work undertaken by each department and an insight into the inner workings of a mid-sized legal practice.
You will also be provided with your programme timetable and be allocated a designated colleague who will look after you during your time with us.
Throughout the programme you will be asked to complete work on live matters, ensuring that you are gaining the best possible experience during your time with us.
In addition you will be given the opportunity to complete a number of tasks associated to each department, which we hope will enhance your understanding of each area of law and help you to better understand the area of law you are most passionate about.
You will also be asked to complete a research task in preparation for a presentation at the end of the programme.
At the end of the programme, you will present the findings of your research task to a select group of colleagues who will offer you advice and guidance on your presentation, in addition to HR providing you with detailed feedback gained throughout your time with us.
Please note throughout the programme you will be required to travel to all six of our offices located in Bristol.
