Barcan+Kirby’s commercial team advises online market start-up

  • Posted

Our commercial law team, led by Partner, Rob Davenport, and assisted by Solicitor, Steven Rice, has assisted another start-up business during what has been an uncertain climate for the retail industry.

Shop Small Love Indie Limited curates online markets which showcase the best of British creatives, who make or design their products or services with love and care. The start-up business, which labels itself as ‘the home of online markets for creatives’, was recently incorporated and founder, Louise Webb, came to Barcan+Kirby for guidance.

Starting a business can be a complex and sometimes difficult matter but with expert legal guidance, the process becomes relatively smooth and stress free. Our expert lawyers dealt with all of the commercial aspects in order for the new business to start up. This included drafting terms and conditions for both the stall holders and consumers, plus various policies for their website ahead of its launch in early October.

“Steven and Rob at Barcan+Kirby were friendly and approachable, and took the time to understand the requirements and needs of my business and showed a genuine interest in it. They delivered the work within the time and budget constraints of a start-up. They responded to questions quickly and kept me updated throughout the process and I am really pleased with the final documents.”

– Louise Webb, owner of Love Shop Small Love Indie Limited
