Training Contract FAQs

Do you have questions about our training contracts? Check out our FAQs for prospective Trainee Solicitors looking to join us.

Applications for our 2024 training contracts are now closed. Keep an eye on this page for details about future programmes.

We look to take on at least four trainees per year.

Applicants for our Trainee Solicitor programme will need to have a degree and have passed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE 1 and 2) by the start of their training contract.

If you are yet to complete these qualifications and you want to experience life at a law firm, our Summer Vacation Programme could be perfect for you. The programme gives budding lawyers a real taste of life at our law firm in Bristol.

Whilst we cannot guarantee all Trainee Solicitors a permanent contract, in line with our aim to nurture and ‘grow our own’ talent, we are looking for trainees who will fit with the culture and values of our firm, and who will strive to develop and remain with us long term.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we receive, we do not provide feedback on an individual basis at the application stage.

We do, however, offer feedback to all candidates who attend the Assessment Centre, if requested.

Our training contracts start on the first working day of September and candidates must be available for this date.
