Alex Castiglione appointed Head of Commercial Property

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Alex Castiglione to Senior Associate and Head of Commercial Property.

Having joined Barcan+Kirby in 2002 as a temporary receptionist, Alex is very much thought of as a “home-grown talent”.

Identifying her potential, the firm helped fund her legal qualifications through CILEx and she became a chartered legal executive in 2007, specialising in commercial sales and purchases, land acquisitions, plot sales and commercial refinancing. Since qualifying, she has developed and grown her practice in commercial property at our Clifton office, achieving promotion to Associate in 2015.

Less than two years later, Alex has already proved that she’s ready to step up again. As Head of Commercial Property, she’ll be tasked with driving her department forward and enhancing Barcan+Kirby’s offering to small and medium-sized businesses in the Bristol area.

Alex is the first ever legal executive to be made a Senior Associate at the firm and the first to head up an entire department.

Anna Wilson, Executive Partner, reacted warmly to the appointment: “Alex has demonstrated her ability and commitment over her 15 years with the firm. No challenge has been too great for her so far and I’m confident she’ll make an excellent head of commercial property.
