Anna Wilson
Anna is responsible for the day-to-day management of Barcan and Kirby and for developing and implementing the firm’s strategic plans for growth and success with the Executive Board, which she chairs. Anna works directly with the internal teams to manage operational risk and compliance issues, IT, systems, and facilities. She also works closely with the Heads of Department, HR and the Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure the successful delivery of business plans in line with the strategy. Anna is passionate about creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive working environment where everyone feels supported, empowered and inspired.
Before becoming Managing Partner, Anna was Barcan and Kirby’s Executive Partner for ten years. She mentored and supported many individuals and teams of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment and introduced peer-led committees to support wellbeing and mental health and to drive a culture of belonging and contribution.
Anna practised family law for nearly three decades, advising clients on all aspects, including separating or divorcing couples, domestic abuse, financial settlements arising from separation and arrangements for children.
An experienced litigator, if an agreement could not be achieved and court proceedings were necessary, Anna represented clients in court calmly and confidently.
