Linking up with Bristol Energy to fight dementia
Hot on the heels of our Dementia Awareness Week donation scheme, we’re excited to announce our affiliate deal with Bristol Energy, which allows our staff to fundraise for BRACE when they switch energy suppliers.
For every employee who switches their gas or electricity to Bristol Energy and quotes the code BARCAN, the energy company will make a £15 donation to BRACE. Switching both supplies will net the charity £30.
The voluntary scheme extends beyond Dementia Awareness Week, meaning staff will be able to take advantage if and when it suits them.
Bristol Energy is a national gas and electricity supplier and a publicly owned company which offers fair priced energy bills and reinvests its profits back into the city of Bristol. The company’s data suggests customers who switch to Bristol Energy save on average around £200 on their bills.
Anna Wilson, Executive Partner of Barcan+Kirby, remarked on the scheme:
“We pride ourselves on being active in our community, so linking up with Bristol Energy to support a local charity like BRACE is exactly the sort of initiative we’re keen to be involved in.
This could be an easy, free way for our staff to support the fight against dementia if they find they can save money with Bristol Energy.”
Mark Poarch, CEO of BRACE, greeted the news warmly. “A big thank you to our charity of the year supporters Barcan+Kirby and to Bristol Energy for this exciting initiative where everyone wins” he said.
“Bristol communities benefit as well as the charity BRACE – helping us to fund world class dementia research in Bristol and across our region to find better treatments and one day, a cure.”
