Leigh McDonough

Leigh McDonough qualified as a solicitor in September 2017 and specialises in the management of the property and financial affairs of people who are not capable of doing so themselves due to a brain injury.

Leigh joined Barcan and Kirby in September 2025.

As well as the day-to-day management of an individual’s property and financial affairs (in both Deputyship and Trust matters), Leigh’s role also includes preparing applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a Property and Financial Affairs Deputy (both lay and professional) and Statutory Wills. Leigh works closely with our Personal Injury and Medical Negligence teams to provide litigation support from a Court of Protection perspective. This includes managing interim payments for clients when a claim is still ongoing.
