Barcan and Kirby’s early years experts advise on the acquisition of Little Earthworms nursery

  • Posted

Nic Barker and others in our Corporate and Commercial team recently advised a client on the strategic acquisition of an additional nursery in Brighton. Property advice was also provided to the client by our commercial property lawyers.

Purchase of Little Earthworms Nursery

The purchase of Little Earthworms Nursery sees its new owner, Envy Inc., add to its existing nurseries and expand in the sector as an early years multiple provider.

The day nursery focuses on providing high-quality care and education for children, having established a great reputation as the first eco-friendly day nursery in Sussex. The new owner of Little Earthworms is committed to furthering the nursery’s success, with plans for its continued growth and development.

Our Commercial Services division advised on a breadth of areas across the transaction, including the corporate and property aspects, and assisted with the lender’s processes.

Envy’s owner is Vish Dhamija, who is also a successful international writer of best-selling crime fiction. He leads Envy’s experienced Childcare team and said:

“Barcan and Kirby is undoubtedly a premium choice, but their expertise justifies every penny. Working with them was a genuinely positive experience; their strategic insight, practical guidance, and deep understanding of the business landscape made a meaningful difference. If you have the opportunity to choose your representative, I would recommend Nic without hesitation.

Simply put: if I were to purchase another business, my first call would be to Barcan and Kirby and Nic Barker.”
