Barcan+Kirby top ranked in 2022 edition of Chambers and Partners UK
We are proud to have received top rankings for our Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Family Law expertise in the 2022 edition of The Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession (UK).
Our Medical Negligence team headed up by Partner Richard Harries, maintained its band 1 ranking, with one impressed source stating: “The team has real strength in depth which allows it to handle the entire range of clinical negligence cases for claimants,” before going on to note that “it is an outstanding firm.”
Richard received a band 1 ranking with one testimonial saying, “He is a recognised leader in the field, intelligent, perceptive and thorough.”
Claire Hurrell, Partner, was ranked again as ‘up and coming’ and recognised for her work on claims involving delay in diagnosis and brain damage, as well as experience in birth-related injuries.
Jay Nathwani, Senior Associate, received a band 2 ranking and one testimonial stated, “She has very good client care; she is personable and someone you enjoy working with.”
Our Personal Injury department received a band 3 ranking, with both Myfanwy Buckeridge and Samantha Castle receiving band 3 status and being recognised as notable practitioners. Sam was described as, “well prepared, she has great people-handling skills and she gets great results for clients.” Myfanwy was praised for her case handling, with commentators saying, “Myfanwy Buckeridge handles the cases superbly; she is very experienced and pragmatic.”
Our family department also received a band 3 ranking. One source stated, “Barcan+Kirby have that great mix of a professional organisation which has a family feel. I get the sense that those working for the firm enjoy going to work and feel they are making a difference.
