Consultant solicitor Giles Woodward is once again donning his cycling jersey to raise money for the Grand Appeal – this time by riding from Land’s End to Bristol in four days!

Giles will be cycling 260 miles through the Cornish, Devon and Somerset countryside from 21st to 24th September. He has already raised over £900 in sponsorship on his Just Giving page and is well on the way to his £1,500 target.

The Grand Appeal has organised the ride to support Bristol Children’s Hospital which supports sick children and their families, not just in Bristol but across the South West. They’re a fantastic local charity and we previously supported their Christmas appeal for Cots for Tots, which you can read more about here.

Barcan+Kirby and Giles have arranged sponsorship for the event logistics, including technical support for riders during the challenge.

If the ride goes well, we may yet convince Giles to do the extra 600 miles to John O’Groats next year!

Giles commented: “I’m very much looking forward to the ride. Good company, great scenery and all for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal who are an inspirational local charity working tirelessly for a very deserving cause.

I do hope to do the remainder of the journey to Northern Scotland next year – can we have decent weather please!”
