Georgia Holmes

Georgia is the head of our Domestic Abuse Department (DAD) and deputy of the private children team. She specialises in surrogacy matters, including preparing applications for parental orders, Children Act applications/disputes and domestic abuse issues.

Georgia advises clients, prepares statements and negotiates with the opposing party or their representative. She also drafts orders or advises on those prepared by others. Georgia prepares applications, whether emergency or on notice.  She can also represent clients at court.

As head of our domestic abuse team, Georgia trains new starters in domestic abuse law to ensure that new matters are dealt with to the highest standard to protect clients. This training includes how to prepare successful applications, what options are available to clients and training on becoming an advocate when they wish to do so. She also mentors junior colleagues, formally and informally, on domestic violence and children matters.

Georgia is a member of Resolution.
