We’re proud to announce that we’ve received three rankings for Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Family law in the 2020 edition of The Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession, which was published yesterday, 10th October 2019.

Our Clinical Negligence department received a band 1 ranking, with Richard Barcan noted as Senior Statesperson and “the godfather in the Bristol market”. Head of department Richard Harries received a band 1 ranking and was described as a leader in the field”. Senior Associate Jay Nathwani was ranked as band 2 and Partner Claire Hurrell was recognised as ‘up and coming’.

Our Personal Injury team retained their band 2 ranking, with Senior Associate Myfanwy Buckeridge receiving a band 3 ranking. Partner Samantha Castle was noted as a ‘recognised practitioner’.

Alison Whiles, Senior Associate in our Family and Matrimonial department was noted as a ‘recognised practitioner’; a first individual ranking for our Family team. The department as a whole retained their recognised practitioner status for the third year running.

Bill Willcocks, Managing Partner, commented on the rankings: “I am delighted with the inclusion of our Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Family teams in the prestigious Chambers Guide for another year. It’s a recognition of the fantastic effort they all put in every day to working on their clients’ behalf. It is particularly pleasing because it’s only possible to be included if independent people speak up for the quality of work they do.”
