Charmaine Moger

Charmaine joined Barcan+Kirby in 2008 and heads up our Children Law team. She has worked in Family law for over 15 years, qualifying as a solicitor in 2010.

Charmaine has always specialised in children matters and spent the first eight years of her career representing parents, other family members, and children in care proceedings. For the last five years, she has specialised in private law disputes representing parents and other family members in disputes surrounding contact, residence, removal from the jurisdiction, change of name, and schooling. She carries out the majority of her own advocacy and has previously represented clients at fact-finding, contested, and final hearings.

She also has a wealth of experience in dealing with issues that arise from domestic abuse and dealing with emergency applications such as Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, and Prohibited Steps Orders, and remains a member of our specialist Domestic Abuse team. She also provides advice on surrogacy.

Charmaine is a member of Resolution and is strongly committed to resolving disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational manner.

She is cited as a ‘Key Lawyer’ in Legal 500 UK 2023.
