Sara Francis Associate Solicitor
Sara was inspired to become a solicitor after seeing the work undertaken at Camden Law Centre. She qualified as a solicitor in London, and initially worked in the areas of crime, family and conveyancing. She moved to Bristol in 1987, and since then has specialised in children’s cases, both in private and public law cases.
Now an associate solicitor in our Family department, she is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and regularly represents children, parents and relatives in care proceedings and adoption proceedings. She has also acted for local authorities, and has lectured in children law at the University of the West of England and at Bristol University. She is a member of Resolution and adopts a non-confrontational approach wherever possible in family cases.
Sara has maintained her interest in the law centre movement, volunteering at Tower Hamlets Law Centre and Avon and Bristol Law Centre.
