New Build Conveyancer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a New Build Conveyancer to join our expanding New Build team in Kingswood.

Our team has established connections with estate agents and property developers covering the South West region. We are therefore looking for someone who is engaged and confident in networking and other marketing/business development activities.

Our department is highly regarded, and we frequently receive excellent reviews on Google and Review Solicitors.

The role

Fee-earning

  • Taking client instructions and maintaining file records
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, reports and legal documentation
  • Conducting due diligence, including AML checks, searches and enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, lenders and third parties throughout the transaction
  • Handling exchanges, completions and post-completion formalities
  • Providing clear advice on progress, timelines and costs
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm standards
  • Participating in marketing initiatives and team meetings as required

Accounts procedures

  • Preparing bills, completion statements and coordinating contract exchanges
  • Handling client payments, deposits and payments on account
  • Requesting and processing cheques, transfers and telegraphic payments
  • Liaising with the Accounts team to ensure accurate and timely financial processing
  • Referring amendments to cheques and bills to the Partners for approval

The ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous conveyancing experience, ideally in new build property
  • Have a Law degree or hold a CILEx Professional Qualification (CPQ)
  • Be IT literate and confident in using and adapting to new systems and processes
  • Exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Be enthusiastic about marketing and business development, in particular, social media and networking

Location and working hours

  • Full-time (office hours are 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday)
  • Part-time considered (minimum of four days)
  • The role is based at our Kingswood office, but with the option to apply for hybrid working post-probation
