Firm appoints two new trainees
Barcan+Kirby are pleased to announce the appointment of two new trainee solicitors from within the firm, James Woodburn and Helena Bond, following a recruitment process which saw dozens of high quality applications.
James Woodburn has worked at the firm since March 2014 as a paralegal in our personal injury and medical negligence department. James has provided high quality and reliable support to the department in all kinds of cases, as well as handling his own caseload. He has an excellent manner with clients, who speak highly of him in their feedback.
Helena Bond joined the firm in February 2016 as a paralegal of several years’ experience, also specialising in medical negligence. She has an interest in maternal birth injury cases and since her arrival has made a great impression in the department with her knowledge and professionalism.
A strong foundation
Anna Wilson, Executive Partner at Barcan+Kirby, commented on the appointments:
“Congratulations to James and Helena on their appointments of trainee solicitor. Our trainees are an integral part of Barcan+Kirby’s long-term success and our training programme provides them with a strong foundation on which to build a career in the legal profession.
We were hugely impressed with the standard of applicants this year, however it was James’ and Helena’s experience that gave them the edge over the other candidates. In the time that they’ve been with Barcan+Kirby, they consistently demonstrated their potential and I have every confidence that they’ll both be successful in their new roles.
For many graduates, securing a training contract is a challenge that requires patience, drive and determination. Both James and Helena have demonstrated that they have these qualities in abundance and we look forward to supporting them in their development over the next two years.”
