Case study: broadcast of Wildlife documentaries in China
Our Notary Public, Tom Sharkey, advised a Bristol-based TV company with contracts needed for licensing and broadcasting their wildlife documentaries in China.
China has many requirements when it comes to accepting documentation, which requires specialist knowledge. They insist on documents being sewn together with ribbons and seals, and there’s multiple paperwork to fill out on behalf of clients to ensure important documentation is accepted. In this case, Tom dealt with both the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the Chinese Embassy, to ensure the documents were fully legalised and acceptable in China, so that our client could broadcast their hard work over there.
All of Tom’s work paid off and our client’s programme was such a success in China, that a second series was commissioned and they returned to Tom for further Notarial work.
