Firm appoints Tom Powles as Partner

We’re pleased to announce that Tom Powles of the family law team has been promoted to Partner.

Tom joined the firm in 2011 and has played a vital role in the growth of the family law division. He was most recently appointed head of the firm’s specialist childcare and domestic violence team, specialising in representing victims of abuse and children, parents or other relatives of children in childcare proceedings.

As well as a family mediator and member of the Family Mediators Association, Tom is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation panel and an accredited specialist member of Resolution. He has also been appointed to the Law Society Children Panel.

Tom said: “I’m delighted to be joining the partnership and it’s a pleasure to be working alongside the other experienced Partners.

Tom will take up his new position from April and will continue to be based at the firm’s Bedminster office.
